BeeFae’s (tentative) Release Schedule

Now that the Etsy shop is up and going, I feel like I want to let you folks know a bit about where I want to go for the rest of the year. 🙂

While I work toward getting to a place were I can develop new colors and put out new polishes whenever the mood hits me, for now, I’m going to do releases in bits and pieces.

The plan is to release 2 more full sets of six polishes this year (Tentatively in July and October) and 2 polishes per month in between those, with potential surprises here and there. Like, I’m working on a good black and a good white, and I’ll likely plop those in whenever they’re ready. 🙂

On that note, I’ve released May’s color pair early-You can get them here and here!

I’m also going to add 5ml bottles of polish to the shop in May because I know some folks want to try colors before they buy a big bottle. (I’m still fiddling with labeling. 🙂 )

And! In May I’ll start offering a custom color service. My idea is to create custom colors for folks who need special gifts (Weddings, friends, Tuesday. 😀 ). I’ll give that its own post.

Lastly, I would love input from you folks! Tell me how you like the polishes so far, tell me what I could do better, tell me what colors you’d like to see!

And now for something completely different

Hi there folks! As I mentioned in my last blog post, I’ve been working on something new, and it’s finally time to begin sharing that with you.

I’m actually really nervous about how ya’ll will react, but I am also super excited about it. 😀

I’d like to introduce you all to BeeFae Cosmetics. 🙂 Although, for now, it’s just going to be nail polishes. (I keep telling myself, “One thing at a time, B.” *grin*)  The plan is to launch officially the week of April 3rd, but now that things are officially a go, I wanted to start sharing the journey with ya’ll from testing all the way through to launch. 🙂

This is basically an offshoot of my work as Bramblefae, meaning they will exist side by side rather than one or the other. I’m not changing anything about how Bramblefae Boutique is running. I’m just adding something new, too.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll have an FAQ, and I’ll probably have several polls about all kinds of things.  But for now, I’m looking to build up a pool of folks willing to do some testing for me when I need it. 🙂

So, if you’re interested, please fill out this form. 😀

And if you haven’t already, follow me on Instagram and Twitter (or check out the feeds on the right side of this page!) for the best updates on this new venture and all my jewelry news!

Lastly, I really look forward to hearing what ya’ll think about this. ❤

Time for some news!

I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of 2017. I know I am definitely looking forward to what the new year will bring.

The last year has been a time of change for me in a lot of ways, as I’m sure it has been for a lot of you.  The biggest bit of change for me was the end of the relatively long running Enchanted Lakes Ren Faire, which was my home faire, and biggest event for Bramblefae Boutique.  I’ll admit that I spent a few months adrift, creatively.

In November, I helped open a boutique-style shop in my town called Sassafras & Sage, and with that, I remembered how much I love creating things, and now I’m overflowing with creativity, ideas and new things.

Which leads us to the first bit of news-I’ll be updating the Etsy shop over the next week with some new things I’ve been working on. Working in the shop has structured my time in such a way that I am able to work on projects “of my heart”, basically. The kind of creative whimsy that drew me to jewelry design in the first place.

This current bit, the stuff I’ll be adding over the next week, is pretty themed.

Out of the Sea, from whence I came will encompass a handful of one of a kind pieces, some can be considered every day pieces, but some, like this crown, are a lot more special occasion whimsy (Although, it’d make me super happy for someone to make this an every day crown! 😀 ). These will get their own post after I’ve gotten some pictures taken and gotten everything posted to Etsy.

While I am looking forward to doing more one of a kind pieces, I also want to make it very clear that I am still very open for commissions and custom work.  ANYTHING you see in my Etsy shop, or my Instagram photos or on Pinterest even, I would be happy to help create something truly unique for you.  Commissions and custom work are some of my favorite things because I love helping you folks have a creative hand in something that you’ll treasure.

The last bit of news that I have right now is that I am probably going to phase out the Bramblefae Boutique Facebook page.  Over the last year it has kinda shown itself to, basically, be more trouble than it’s worth for me. 🙂 I have a far better response on Twitter and Insta, and I feel more like I’m building/ being a part of a community in those places.  So, please, if you don’t already, give me a follow on Twitter or Instagram, I’m bramblefae pretty much everywhere. 🙂

In the next month or so, I’ll have some more news to share with you folks. I’m not ready to talk about it yet, but I am really excited about this possibility, so look forward to that as well!

I hope all of you have years full of wonder and love and I look forward to sharing some of my wonder and love with you all. ❤

Quick update-It’s Sale Time!

cropped-etsybanner2016.jpg

Just a quick update, folks. I’ll have more in depth updates in the coming days and weeks. It’s been an interesting year for me. 😀

Anyway, from now till the end of the year, if you use the code LETSDOTHIS, you’ll get 15% off your order in my Etsy shop! So, please, check things out!

Also, if you’re in or around Northeastern Indiana, you can stop in at a little shop in Angola’s historic downtown called Sassafras & Sage. They’re the only physical location in the world where you can find Bramblefae jewelry! (And trees, and some of the wood refurbished/upcycled things I do, since I don’t put those on Etsy because shipping would be kind of a nightmare. 😀 )

Stay tuned, though, I’ll be back to regular updates very soon, folks! Thank you for sticking around, and if you love what I do, and are able/willing, I have a little button up on the right of this post that says “buy me a coffee”- I’m trying to get money saved for some better tools, and that’s a great way to help support me and what I do! ❤

What I did this summer (and what I’ll be doing this fall, maybe)

5-Idyllic-August-Getaways-2cf3e3be97924bd891c84eb5389e065f

Hi folks! Now that summer is mostly over, I thought it would be a good time for a bit of an update.

After the faire (And the realization that this was the last one), I’ve kind of found myself with a bit of a lack of creative gumption.

It’s getting better now, but this summer’s been one of me poking at things with sticks (metaphorically speaking) and seeing what’s up.  The cool part about all of this bellybutton contemplation is that I have some cool things coming into the Etsy shop, and a potential side gig (which you might hear more about as I get everything organized),  the less cool part is that the updates may continue to be kind of sporadic for a bit.

My schedule is pretty up in the air right now, and I have several things going on (Some of which you’ll see here.) that need my attenion, so while I am ABSOLUTELY open for commissions and custom work, I’m going to probably be slow on getting things uploaded to Etsy.

Also, for the first time in several years, I won’t be setting up at any autumn events this year, sadly. I’ve got family wedding things going on for each of those weekends.

So, with the free time I’ll have since I won’t be needing to restock so soon, I’m planning to branch Bramblefae out a little. In addition to all the wire work I do, I’m going to be adding some polymer clay work, and maybe some paper and/or planner related things. (Since I am IN LOVE with my Happy Planner!)

All in all, everything is good here, if a bit frazzled, and I am still constantly working on new things, just, be patient with me, I’ll update as I can. 🙂  In the meantime, follow me on twitter and instagram (both are accessible from the right side of this post. 🙂 )!

(And did I mention that I would love some commissions and some custom work? *grin*)

Wire Trees and my own impatience

Hi folks! I took a poll on Twitter last week asking how ya’ll thought about the idea of setting up pre-orders for these little wire trees I’ve been making. The response was pretty positive, so I went about making a listing, but then I was all, “Why wait? The only holdup at all is potentially wire, but that’s in the wait time, anyway.”

So, the listing is up!

A couple things- None of these have beads or gemstones on them.  I’m working on a way to do that, that works for me.  So, look for those possibly soon (And I kinda mean that in video game terms. *grin*).  Also, they are kinda small-the little ones are around 2-3 inches high, the bigger ones around 5 inches high.

Anyway, here’s a look at some of the ones I have made up for the Art is Art Festival this weekend.

If you’re local, come on out to Angola to check these out, along with some of my other arty endeavors, as well as a lot of other amazing artists, artisans, designers and more!

News

I know it’s not July 1st yet, but…

I was going a little ahead of schedule and decided to open the Etsy shop a little early.  There are still a couple things I need to add (And I’ll get that done today and tomorrow), but I figured I’d get it open now because it’s been down for about a month.

Neat, yeah?
Neat, yeah?

And of course this means that I am, once again, taking custom orders!

Two things of note, though, first.

First, my dear Canadian friends, until the labour dispute is resolved for the Canada Post, I cannot ship anything to Canada. Anything that it purchased now, will not be sent until this is resolved.

I’d suggest holding off on ordering anything, unless you really don’t mind waiting for it. 🙂

If you purchase something, and your mailing address is Canada, I will contact you immediately and we will go from there. As soon as this is resolved, though, I will go right back to shipping all over Canada. ❤

Second-I am not making video game related items right now. One cease and desist was enough for me, thank you. *grin*  I’m not saying I never will. I’m just saying I need to learn more about how to do it and not infringe on someone’s IP. 🙂 Because I appreciate that most of my fanbase are nerds like me. 😀 ❤

So, in the end-Enjoy the new stuff! Contact me for something custom! I’m glad to be back open!
