BeeFae

Swatches of September

I really enjoy making nail polish, and I think I’m pretty good at it. What I’m not great at is taking pretty pictures of what the polishes look like on fingernails. I’m also not great at the actual painting of my nails, which adds to the general hilarity of my product pictures. ๐Ÿ˜€

So, I am relieved and proud to be working with a couple Instagram nail swatchers to make sure y’all get a fuller idea of the colors and textures of BeeFae polishes. ๐Ÿ˜€

These two really make my polish look good, yeah? ๐Ÿ˜€

Anyway, you can find them on Instagram ( Miss Nail_Queen and Jeweled_Nails ), and I’ll be adding their pictures to the Etsy listings, too!

I really look forward to working with them in the future too!

Time for some news!

I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of 2017. I know I am definitely looking forward to what the new year will bring.

The last year has been a time of change for me in a lot of ways, as I’m sure it has been for a lot of you. ย The biggest bit of change for me was the end of the relatively long running Enchanted Lakes Ren Faire, which was my home faire, and biggest event for Bramblefae Boutique. ย I’ll admit that I spent a few months adrift, creatively.

In November, I helped open a boutique-style shop in my town called Sassafras & Sage, and with that, I remembered how much I love creating things, and now I’m overflowing with creativity, ideas and new things.

Which leads us to the first bit of news-I’ll be updating the Etsy shop over the next week with some new things I’ve been working on. Working in the shop has structured my time in such a way that I am able to work on projects “of my heart”, basically. The kind of creative whimsy that drew me to jewelry design in the first place.

This current bit, the stuff I’ll be adding over the next week, is pretty themed.

Out of the Sea, from whence I came will encompass a handful of one of a kind pieces, some can be considered every day pieces, but some, like this crown, are a lot more special occasion whimsy (Although, it’d make me super happy for someone to make this an every day crown! ๐Ÿ˜€ ). These will get their own post after I’ve gotten some pictures taken and gotten everything posted to Etsy.

While I am looking forward to doing more one of a kind pieces, I also want to make it very clear that I am still very open for commissions and custom work. ย ANYTHING you see in my Etsy shop, or my Instagram photos or on Pinterest even, I would be happy to help create something truly unique for you. ย Commissions and custom work are some of my favorite things because I love helping you folks have a creative hand in something that you’ll treasure.

The last bit of news that I have right now is that I am probably going to phase out the Bramblefae Boutique Facebook page. ย Over the last year it has kinda shown itself to, basically, be more trouble than it’s worth for me. ๐Ÿ™‚ I have a far better response on Twitter and Insta, and I feel more like I’m building/ being a part of a community in those places. ย So, please, if you don’t already, give me a follow on Twitter or Instagram, I’m bramblefae pretty much everywhere. ๐Ÿ™‚

In the next month or so, I’ll have some more news to share with you folks. I’m not ready to talk about it yet, but I am really excited about this possibility, so look forward to that as well!

I hope all of you have years full of wonder and love and I look forward to sharing some of my wonder and love with you all. โค

Social Media is fun!

Heartring1

Generally speaking, anyway. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m pretty active on different sorts of social media both for Bramblefae Boutique and personally and I figured it would be a good idea to kinda go over all of it in case ya’ll want to see what I’m up to at any given time. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have the Bramblefae page on Facebook, but I find that I use it less and less over time because, frankly, I seem to reach more of you folks through other means. Like Twitter!

I tweet about all sorts of stuff from video games and music to personal stuff (Not TOO personal. ๐Ÿ™‚ ) and all sorts of Bramblefae stuff! ย It is probably my favorite form of social media right now because I can talk to folks on the fly. ย I can answer questions and even just chat with folks on twitter.

I love Instagram and sometimes I think I go a little crazy with all the picture taking, but there we are. ๐Ÿ˜€ This is right now the best place to get Work in Progress pictures, although I am trying a new thing.

That new thing would be Snapchat. ย I still don’t know very much about how it works, but I do see that I can use it to show folks the progress of a piece throughout the day, so if anyone wanted to see what I was working on, while I was working on it, basically, they can go check out my story there. ย If you have it, my username is (shockingly) bramblefae. Feel free to add me! If you don’t have it, download the app and then add me. ๐Ÿ˜€

All of that is not even counting Handmade at Amazon and the Etsy shop! Those two will continue to be the best way to actually buy my stuff (And to commission me!)

Of course that doesn’t take away what I do here. This is the best way to keep up with updates, and tutorials and such. (Yeah, I said tutorials. ๐Ÿ™‚ ) Thank you all for keeping up with me and what I do in whatever media you choose, and for helping me bring my dreams to life. ๐Ÿ™‚ Ya’ll are awesome.
