A look at some of the Summer 2016 Items

Now that the Etsy store is up and going again, I took the time to put together a little “video lookbook” of some of the summer items.

As always, if you see something you like, but would love it in a different size, or color or what have you, just let me know!

(And here’s a small reminder to my Canadian friends-I cannot ship to Canada until the Canada Post strike is settled. But as soon as it is, I will be back to shipping up there like I always have! )

Shop Preview pt. 2!

Today’s preview is all about sapphires. 🙂 I’ve had a few tiny yellow and blue sapphire beads for awhile, so I decided it was time to do something with them!

They're bitty and cute!

The beads all have slightly different colors and whatnot, but I think that adds to the charm and individuality of the pieces.

It’s simple and adorable!

I really look forward to seeing what ya’ll think of the new stuff!

Preview of things to come!

The Bramblefae Etsy shop will open back up in a little over a week. *throws confetti* I’m excited because I get to show ya’ll some of the new things I’ve been working on, so between now and then, as I take photos, I thought I’d share some with ya’ll!

Don't mind the henna. :p

Since I was young, I have always loved the look of handpieces.  I’ve made several over the last few months and I want to put this one in the shop because I love it very much.  The ring is adjustable and the bracelet part is open so that it can be a bit adjustable, too.

In keeping with both copper and bracelets, I offer this one too.  It’s a very simple design, and that’s just an opaque glass bead, but I love this one too. So much so that I very nearly didn’t put it up for sale. 🙂

My big goal for the second half of 2016 is to offer a lot of variety. I’m going to introduce some new types of things and try to keep a wide range of sizes. I’ve also decided to focus on adjustable items where I can, to make it easier for folks to find the right piece for them. 🙂

Come back tomorrow for some more new stuff! 🙂

Holiday Schedule and Info

Filigree2

Lots of folks get very excited for the winter holiday season. I know I do! And I will be joyfully taking jewelry commissions leading up to the holidays. However, I’ve learned from past holiday seasons that to be the best I can for ya’ll, I need let everyone know my schedule for commissions.  That way we can all be happy and chill till 2016. 😀

I’m also gonna keep this post up to date because this can change if I get more orders than I think I will. 🙂

First, I need to note that I don’t do rush shipping. There are a couple reasons, and I *am* looking into different ways that I can offer it, so my hope is that in 2016, that’ll be something I’ll start doing.

So basically, I’ll be taking custom Christmas/Holiday orders from now till December 11th.  After that, I’ll take a break from commissions till after the holidays.  That will give me a few days to get any remaining commissions out-and *should* get there by Christmas.

I’ll keep my shops open through Christmas, of course, but after the 11th I will make no promises about getting items there before the 25th, so please plan accordingly. 🙂

In the event that I get so many commissions I can’t keep up (This hasn’t happened thus far, but still. 🙂 ), I will update this post and repost it with new dates if need be.

In a nutshell, here’s the deal:

When can you start ordering commissions for the holidays? Now

Where can I buy things from you?  Here and Here!

When will I stop taking them? December 11th

Can you get something rush shipped? No, not currently.

Does this mean I should order now instead of later? Yes.

Do you still love me? Always.

500 Followers on Twitter!

Folks! That’s wild that 500 people give a crap at all about what I have to say! Thank you so much.  I’ve always used Twitter as something of a mixture between business stuff and personal stuff. So, my twitter feed is full, at any given time, of current events talk, video games, music and of course whatever’s going on with Bramblefae Boutique.  I love being able to talk to folks in real time, and the 140 character limit is teaching me about being concise, which is a good skill to learn, especially for someone who meanders as much as I do!

Anyhow, I’m having a little Thank You giveaway over on my twitter and ya’ll are welcome to jump in on it!

Twitter is fun! :)
Twitter is fun! 🙂

The rules are simple: You need to be following my twitter account on Friday August 28 at 10pm Eastern time and you need to have retweeted the tweet that’s pinned to the top of my twitter page (It will have the above graphic in it!).  That’s it!  Then after 10 on Friday, I’ll go through the retweets and assign a number to every person who retweeted, then using an online random number generator, I will pick a winner!

Here’s exactly what you’ll get- One ring, to your size specifications in the style of the one in the graphic. You’ll get your choice between silver, gold, or rose gold Parawire, and your choice between three small raw rubies, or raw yellow or blue sapphires (or, I suppose, any combo of the three).  The ring in the picture is rose gold and ruby, to give you an idea. It’s got a value of 25 dollars (American), and I will send it anywhere.

Thank you folks, very much, for your support of my jewelry designing endeavors.  I love ya’ll for it, and I hope to see ya’ll when I hit the next milestone!

Rainbow Commission

One of my favorite things about commissions is that, often, they will send me out of my comfort zone, into new territory for me.  This was one of those. I’d gotten into a bit of a rut with my elf ears, but this commission had me trying things I hadn’t before.

In the beginning and all that jazz. :p

I am really pleased with how they turned out, and so is the person who ordered them!  I may work some more in this style, and see how I can branch out from there.

Ornaments?

This weekend I got to spend time with a couple of my sisters-in-law (I have a lot of them, all pretty amazing!). They scrapbook, but brought wire to work with. My intent had been to figure out some sort of “amulet” design that could be used by LARPer mages and healers and what-not. While I’m still working on ideas there, what I ended up making struck me much more as a potential holiday ornament.

Ignore my chipped nails, really. :p

I know it’s ENTIRELY too early to be thinking about Christmas and whatnot, but I want to ask ya’ll- Would wire ornaments be something you folks would like to see me do? Of course, I would offer different colors and such, but is there anything else you’d like to see, if you’re interested in the ornaments?

Thanks, folks, for taking a moment to fill out the poll. It really helps me make sure I’m making things ya’ll are actually interested in! 😀
